Description
Clog indicators are devices that check the service life of filter elements. These devices measure the pressure drop through a filter element that is connected directly to the filter housing.
These devices are activated when an increased pressure drop occurs through the filter element due to a blockage of the filter element.
Filter elements are only effective if they make full use of their contamination-absorbing capacity. This can be achieved by equipping the filter housings with clogging indicators. The indicator warns before the battery is completely clogged.
MP Filtri offers the following types of clog indicators:
- Vacuum switches and meters
- Pressure Switches & Gauges
- Differential pressure indicators
These types of devices are available with visual, electrical, or both signs. An electronic differential pressure clog indicator is also available, providing both analogue 4-20 mA outputs as well as digital warning (75% blockage) and alarm (blockage) outputs.
