Description
The VS214 safety valve is a full-nozzle, full-lift type. It features a high discharge coefficient (K=0.95) and is suitable for both gases and liquids. These direct-acting safety valves protect tanks from overpressure during operating conditions. They can be mounted directly on the tank with suitable adapters, on the gas side of a safety block (BC32V), or on accumulator station gas manifolds.
Construction
The body and dome are made from cast materials. The valve has a flat, metal-to-metal sealing seat. A spring counterbalances the pressure and the dynamic effects of the fluid, ensuring the valve closes after discharge. The calibration system includes a hex-head screw that compresses the spring and threads into the top of the valve. After calibration, the adjusting screw’s position is secured with a locknut and sealed to the valve body.
