Description

TVD type flow control valves are used to adjust the flow of hydraulic fluid. The flow is not dependent on either the inlet or outlet pressure, which means that the flow setting remains constant even if the differential pressure changes.

These valves consist of the following parts:

  • House (1),
  • pressure
  • compensator (2),
  • Nozzle (3),
  • Actuator (4),
  • and check valve (5).

The flow of hydraulic fluid is controlled by the actuator (4), which moves the nozzle (3) to the correct open position. The flow is throttled from point A to point B. The constant flow is ensured by the pressure compensator (2). The fluid passes through the bore (6) under the pressure compensator, which is affected by the pressure of line B. From the opposite side, the pressure in front of the nozzle (3) acts on the pressure compensator. The pressure compensator is positioned in its operating position. The pressure built up in line B moves the pressure compensator, to a larger open position. This increases the gap between the holes (7), the nozzle (3) and the user. Conversely, the pressure compensator is placed in a closed position if there is an increase in pressure on line A. The flow of hydraulic fluid is constant and does not depend on the user's load.

The check valve (5) provides free flow for the hydraulic fluid from point B to point A. The flow control valve without a check valve (5) operates only in the direction from point A to point B.
