The EPF series replacement elements are designed for high-pressure, in-line hydraulic oil filtration. Available in single or double-length configurations with filtration fineness down to 2 microns, they help protect critical engine components—such as valves, bearings, cylinders, and pumps—from contaminants that can lead to increased wear, shorter maintenance intervals, extended downtime, and higher costs. These elements are suitable for use in extremely demanding environments, including construction, oil & gas, agriculture, and mining.
Patented Eco-Friendly Design
EPF series replacement elements feature a patented eco-friendly design that allows the bypass valve and the element core to be integrated as reusable components within the filter housing. This reduces waste and disposal costs by up to 50%. The EPF series is ideal for integrating filters into distribution systems without the need for additional drilling to install a bypass valve.
Filter Media Options
Various filter media options are available to meet customers’ specific system requirements, including microglass (QI), high-strength microglass (QIH), and reverse-flow microglass (QIR). Multiple filter housing sizes are also offered based on rated flow and connection type.
Compatibility with Hydraulic Fluids
EPF series filter elements are compatible with a wide range of hydraulic fluids, including:
- Hydraulic mineral oils, class H HLPD (DIN 51524)
- Operating fluids (DIN ISO 2943)
- Lubricants (ISO 6743, APJ, DIN 51517, ACEA, ASTM)
- Vegetable oils
- 60/40 water-glycol mixtures
- Industrial-grade phosphate esters (on request)
- Non-aggressive synthetic oils
- Non-aggressive biodegradable oils (HETG, HEPG, HEES per VDMA 24568)
