• The GE..TGR type hydraulic cylinder spherical plain bearing is a spherical bearing.
• The spherical bearing consists of two parts. Instead of rolling elements, it has an inner ring and an outer ring. The outer surface of the inner ring is convex. The inner surface of the outer ring is concave. This design gives spherical plain bearings their high load-bearing capacity and ability to compensate for misalignment.
• The bearing features a steel-PTFE sliding contact, which makes it maintenance-free. PTFE is a special plastic. During the break-in period of these bearings, PTFE particles deposit on the opposite running surface, filling small irregularities on the inner ring surface and creating a smooth contact layer. As a result, the components fit perfectly together.
