Contaminated air filter material is often classified as chemical waste, resulting in high disposal costs for end users when replacing batteries. Recognizing the need for an environmentally friendly solution that protects the environment and reduces the cost of ownership, the manufacturer has developed the EAB series air filter/tank breather and related replacement elements.
EAB Series replacement batteries do not contain any metallic parts and can therefore be crushed and/or incinerated. Only the contaminated filter media needs to be disposed of, which keeps the weight of the chemical waste relatively low. Depending on the circumstances, disposal and processing costs can be reduced by up to 50%, allowing users to lower cost of ownership.
The EAB series filter replacement items are available with three different filter media options, including polyester (2 microns absolute), polyester with a waterproof layer (1.5 microns absolute) and fiberglass (1 micron absolute). The items are individually designed to achieve low pressure drop and high contaminant holding capacity in systems with airflows of up to 1500 L/min (396 GPM), which makes them suitable for applications in a wide range of hydraulic systems, including sawmills, agricultural machinery, articulated dump trucks, forestry equipment, wheel loaders, lubricant systems, excavators, industrial power units, and mobile cranes.
